Just a simple recipe pulled from the internet. This makes 8 patties? nanns? thingies.

Total preparation time is 2 hours

  • 10min mixing
  • 60min first rise
  • 20min second rise
  • 30min cooking

Ingredients

  • Water - 142g
  • Yogurt - 71g (alternatively milk and lemon juice)
  • Flour - 270g (1/3 bread flour will make this extra chewy)
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (5ml)
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon (5ml)
  • Soft Butter - 2 tablespoons (30ml)
  • Instant Yeast - 1 tablespoon (15ml)
  • Melted Butter - 1 tablespoon (15ml) or so.

Method

  1. Mix ingredients and leave in greased bowl to rise for 60min
  2. Divide into 8 pieces, roll into balls and set aside to rest for 20min
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet
  4. Stretch the dough balls into pancakes and put them into the skillet
  5. Brush the surface with melted butter, flip when it's toasted, and brush the surface again
  6. Repeat.
