Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ja's recipe. This is chocolate heavy and you can double or triple things to make more. A frozen log of chocolate cookie dough will keep for months in the freezer and you'll always have the opportunity of thawing off a piece and quickly baking a tray of cookies.

- Cooking butter and chilling - 30min
- Mixing - 10min
- Chilling - 10min - 24 hours
- Preparing - 5min
- Baking - 12min
Ingredients
Wet:
- Butter - 10 tablespoons (150ml?)
- White sugar - 114g
- Brown sugar - 140g
Dry:
- Flour - 240g
- Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml)
- Baking powder - 3/4 teaspoon (7.5ml)
- Salt - 3/4 teaspoon (7.5ml)
- Egg
- Vanilla - 1 teaspoon (5ml)
- Chocolate chunks - 280g
- Coarse salt
Method
- Brown the butter, skimming the solids
- Pour over the sugars in mixing bowl and refrigerate for 10min
- Beat the sugars till fluffy
- Add the egg and continue beating
- Combine the dry powders and then all the ingredients
- Squish into a tube and wrap in plastic
- Refrigerate or freeze (optional)
- Dollop on pan and sprinkle with coarse salt
- Bake at 350F (175C) 12min
