  • The worlds first synthetic human. Perhaps the least known of the heroes due to a storied existence since WW2. Recently a cadre of robots and androids tried to take over earth, a plan that she betrayed and helped defeat for the sake of humanity

  • Aquatic ruler of the undersea kingdom of Atlantis. He was a hero in the war but at other times has been humanity's greatest foe. Currently his place in the world is somewhere between the two.

Brian

  • Long thought to have died in the second world war, he was captured by the Russians and brainwashed into becoming a super soldier. He remains a wanted man for his crimes and was forced to fake his own death. Now he lives and works from the shadows.

Ricky

  • The super-soldier, living legend and sentinel of liberty remains the epitome of a national/world hero.

Kim

  • Wealthy socialite and paramour to Brian with the strange ability to shrink to microscopic size. Working as a detective for the UN, she exposed and spoiled a nazi plot to poison every freshwater aquifer in the nation.

Amanda

  • Trained by the monks of Shao-Lom to achieve mastery of the powers of the mind and body. Now shunned by the only family she's ever known, she wanders the deserts of the south-west, helping strangers, pull-righting wrongs, and dispensing justice one karate chop at a time.

The Opportunity

In August of 2012 Ricky and Bojana asked if I was interested in joining them on a trip to Belize where we would charter a boat and sail in the Caribbean. I'd never been sailing, nor had Amanda, Ricky, or Bojana. Kim and Brian had a little experience, having chartered sailboats three times in the past.

I've always had an unhealthy fascination with pirates and the carribean and I'd never experienced warm ocean waters so I quickly agreed. Amanda had some problems convincing her boss to let her have a week off but after convincing some co-workers to cover for her we bought plane tickets and mailed the $2000 deposit for La Espirit du vent.

During the trip each evening before I fell asleep, I wrote down what happened that day. I like having a detailed record and when I retyped it for posting online it was like reliving the trip again. If you enjoy this half as much as I did rewriting it I'll be happy.

We booked our flights separately. Amanda and I would meet Bojana and Ricky in Houston and Kim and Brian would find us a few hours after we arrived in Belize.
